  1. COMMITTEE LEADERSHIP & RESPONSIBILITIES
    1. The President appoints the Monitor Committee Chair. The Committee Chair may appoint a Co-Chair.
    2. The Monitor Committee Chair and/or Co- Chair are responsible for:
      1. Keeping the Studio properly and safely functioning during scheduled operating hours.
      2. Facilitating the training or training of members to ensure the smooth operation of the cash register and other computers near and around the Monitor station and implement processes for the counting of the daily money receipts.
      3. Developing and updating as needed written tools, such as the Guide, and the Logbook. Updating must be maintained to adapt to changes in the physical plant and other conditions inside and outside of the studio.
      4. Developing and maintaining shift schedules for seasonally adjusted Monitor shifts.
      5. Managing the sign-in process and requirements for admission for members and visitors. Properly handle calculating charges for clay, firing and other materials for sale.
      6. Encouraging frequent verbal and written communication among Monitors and Monitor Trainers. Interface with all Clay Studio Committee Chairs as needed but most frequently with the Service and Membership Committees and the SUG Manager.
      7. Assisting members in modifying their current or future sign up on SUG (Sign up Genius) for health, emergency, or scheduling change reasons.
  2. COMMITTEE FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
    1. The Monitor Committee meets quarterly, or if needed, more frequently, to perform the following functions:
      1. Review and discuss both current monitoring schedule and operational changes that might be anticipated, including suggestions for updates to the Guide. 
      2. Review class schedules and identify Trainers to provide timely training for recent intro class graduates.
      3. Review the availability of Monitor Trainers and Monitor Refreshers along with the training plan for each.
      4. Review Monitor, Trainer, and Refresher Trainer suggestions for improvement.
      5. Review and provide shift schedule modifications that may be needed due to seasonal attendance and related studio use.
      6. Prepare an annual report to the President regarding anticipated issues and their solutions.
